Alina Psaros is an avid teacher and freelance performer in the New England area. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from New England Conservatory and a Master’s degree from the Longy School of Music, where she was also awarded the 2015 Creativity Foundation Legacy Prize and the 2016 Roman Totenberg Award for her “deep commitment to perpetuating the art of music”.
Alina is associate concertmaster of the Boston-based chamber orchestra Unitas Ensemble. She has also performed for the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, Plymouth Philharmonic, Discovery Ensemble and Cape Ann Symphony, and has participated in various recording sessions for the SoundtRec Boston studio orchestra. Outside of the classical genre, Alina enjoys collaborating with electronic music producers by incorporating contemporary violin improvisation into their records and live performances.
