Our Sandbar Chamber Series continues with an intimate program of chamber music for winds and strings, featuring works by Elgar, Mozart, Britten, and Reicha. From Mozart’s elegant Horn Quintet to Britten’s inventive Phantasy for Oboe Quartet and Reicha’s spirited Grand Quintet, this program showcases the expressive range, rich textures, and delightful interplay of these distinctive instrumental combinations.

Rooted in tradition with an ear toward the future, contemporary folk duo Rakish embodies earnest musical exploration and demonstrates an infectious playfulness on stage. In their sound together, it is evident the two friends share an unbridled love for traditional Celtic and American music.
Celebrate the vibrant musical voices of Latin America in this program featuring works by some of the region’s most compelling composers, including Gabriela Ortiz and Teresa Carreño. From the irresistible rhythms of Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2 to the evocative colors of Ortiz’s La Calaca, the program explores a rich spectrum of musical expression, complemented by Carreño’s lyrical Serenade for Strings and Morton Gould’s soulful Spiritual for Strings.
